Why Now?
As New Jersey prepares to host millions of visitors for the FIFA World Cup and celebrate America’s 250th birthday in 2026, the spotlight is on our public spaces. Clean, vibrant streets, parks, and shorelines are essential to welcoming the world—and honoring our national legacy. Yet litter continues to threaten our roads, waterways, property values, tourism, and civic pride. Municipal programs can’t keep pace. Eco Clean Guardians’ paid participation model fills the gap with consistent cleanups led by local residents. After all, who better to clean up your own backyard than you?
Our Impact Goals (Year 1)
Launch pilot cleanup campaigns in Hudson, Bergen, and Essex Counties. Engage over 300 paid participants to remove thousands of pounds of litter from streets, parks, and shorelines. Partner with FIFA 2026 host city committees, NJDOT, and corporate sponsors to position New Jersey as a clean, welcoming, world-class destination—just in time for the global spotlight and America’s 250th birthday. Collect and report measurable data (miles cleaned, waste diverted, community engagement) to showcase real impact.
Funding Ask
We are seeking $300,000 in Year 1 to scale operations and launch FIFA-aligned campaigns. Funding is allocated in strict alignment with our expense model: 80% Paid Labor ($240,000): Stipends for participants conducting litter abatement. 10% Administrative Costs ($30,000): Program coordination, reporting, and compliance. 10% Supplies & Equipment ($30,000): Cleanup gear, safety materials, and data tracking tools.
